Lasting Adventures and more specifically our guide, Zachary Naegele, made my trip to Yosemite a dream vacation! It was stress-free because every detail was covered from food and transportation to clear meeting instructions and itinerary. Zachary was a joy to have on hikes because he was knowledgeable, competent and personable. He took a hike that would have been fun and made it magical by explaining the history and ecology of the area we were hiking. He matched our athletic pace and often let us lead so we didn't feel "pressured" to keep up as all the people in my group were not used to the altitude. His calm and confident control of the situation when I got scared trying to summit Lembert Dome was priceless and I couldn't have asked for anyone better when I panicked! I can't say enough good things about Zachary and Lasting Adventures. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

Our Lasting Adventures Yosemite trip was one of the highlights of the summer! Eric and Emily were engaging, prepared, and knowledgeable guides. They led us on quite the adventure through Tuolumene meadows, to Catherdral lakes, all the way out to May lake, and back to our bus in 6 days. Eric prepared thoughtful and informative lessons on the Yosemite winderness for the kids and Emily took amazing pictures and prepared us delicious trail dinners. The experience was unforgettable and all of the kids left with high energy, big smiles, and great stories. Without Lasting Adventures we never would have been able to experience these wild and beautiful places on our own. We are so grateful for the experience that the Guides provided, the energy, the laughter, the games and the lessons. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. It is something that The kids and I will carry with us for a long time.

In August our family (includes 2 teenagers) went on a Hidden Yosemite trip with Lasting Adventures. We were joined by two others on the trip and our two Lasting Adventure Guides. This was out first trip to Yosemite and it was an amazing experience for the entire family. We departed for the back country from Tuolomne Meadows with an end point of Twin Lakes, outside the part. After the first fewmiles we saw very few other parties. The views were incredible and we had the opportunity to engage in lots of activities that suited our own interests including fishing and additional hikes and scrambling. Our guides were very knowledgeable and provided learning experiences throughout the trip related to the history of the park and the surrounding region and the biology and geology of the area. We all learned a huge amount about the area and our teenagers were enthralled by the overall experience, never even missing access to the Internet! The guides also prepared wonderful meals throughout the trip and took care of dishes and water, making it a real vacation for us. They also helped the two separate parties in our group bond and come together as a single expedition. The work of our guides meant that we could relax and watch the sun rise and set, take pictures observe wildlife and soak up the marvel that is Yosemite. In addition, we flew to California to start our trip and as a result we used Lasting's equipment rather than bringing our own. We found the equipment to be new, clean and well maintained. We did have one backpack where the backpack size did not precisely match the carriers torso length so would encourage additional homework in this area if you are going to use on of Lasting's packs. This trip was a great family vacation and experience and we are planning to go back and explore more of the Yosemite area with Lasting. I highly recommend this trip

My 12-year-old son had a terrific time! Thank you for taking good care of him on his first backpacking trek. Two days home and he’s already talking about next year.

The recent HIdden Yosemite backpack trip was my first Lasting Adventures experience and first time in Yosemite National Park. I couldn't ask for a better initial immersion into place, with two outstanding guides, Bella and Will. The route they chose offered daily wonders that kept my soul and spirit in awe. Bella and Will generously offer playful, positive energy, species and ecology information that heightened my reception of the Yosemite wonders, fresh cooked meals (unbelievable), and an ease of time together on the trail. If you're looking for an outstanding experience in Yosemite, I strongly recommend you connect with Lasting Adventures.

My daughter did the 6 day trip, and was fairly new to backpacking, but had the most amazing experience. She hasn't stopped talking about all the friendships and views she was able to take in. The guides were enthusiastic, and very supportive, my daughter had the most wonderful things to say about both of them. I would absolutely send her again.

Great experience for our 14 year old son and his friend, well organized, great process for sign-up and excellent communications through out. They traveled to jaw dropping sights deep in Yosemite and reported wonderful guides, great food, and overall excellent fun trip for the whole group of 8 campers. Thanks to LA for providing this wonderful first backpacking experience!

My 17-year-old son did a 6-day High Sierra backpacking trip and absolutely loved it. His small group had two very knowledgeable guides that shared daily nature and history stories with the group. He also really enjoyed the “no tent sleeping under the starts experience”. As parents we were so impressed with the company's communication throughout. The guides' post-trip brief email included AMAZING pictures and a daily itinerary with several personal stories about the week. It was truly a lasting adventure!
