We had a very professional pilot with good skills and safe operation. ( I am a pilot). Incredible coverage of the island. Great maneuvering so both sides could see. Saw red lava in the valcano. Good penetration back into the canyons. Well run operation. Good equipment. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Helicopters are not cheap but this was definitely my money’s worth.

We saw live active volcano. Spent 10 minutes over the volcano due to clear weather and no other traffic. Fantastic tour included waterfalls around Hilo and flying into the valley to see more hidden waterfalls. Once in a lifetime adventure and worth the money for the window seats. Matt is a fantastic pilot and made sure both sides of the helicopter got the same views.

Fantastic experience. Everything about the initial contact process was informative and easy. Check-in and Safety briefing was orderly. Pre-flight and off we go. The flight was amazing. Our Pilot, Page is a great pilot, explaining everything clearly. His insight and information about what we were seeing was a perfect narrative. The sights along the coast and around the volcanoes are world class. Flying with Paradise Helicopter matched the views. I highly recommend this experience.

We had an amazing experience and the scenery on the big island did not disappoint! Our host was a very accommodating gentleman. Our pilot was experienced, confident, fun, and gracious. I recommend to do this at the start of your vacation, so that you get the lay of the land. I would take my 3 year old on this flight in the future. I am excited to try the smaller 4-person helicopter with the “doors off.”

What a great way to see the island! The staff was all very friendly and knowledgable. We loved the valleys and seeing the volcano caldera the most! Such a beautiful island with so many different landscapes to see. This tour really captured all of them!

My wife and I recently visited the Big Island for several days before continuing on to Oahu. We stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa Village and our concierge recommended Paradise Helicopters for a unique experience (we did not book ahead of time). She called and arranged a tour for the 2 of us the next day to do the Circle Tour which was a 2 hour complete circle of the island. It was fantastic! We took a cab back to the KOA airport the next morning and were met by the ground crew who were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. We had a safety briefing and were told what to expect on the trip and met the other family who joined us. The helicopter looked brand new and was fairly comfortable. There were 5 seats in the back in a 2-3 bench format and 1 person was able to sit next to the pilot. Our pilot was Matt and he was amazing. He told us how the headsets work so we could all talk and ask questions and he knew so much about the island it was crazy. The tour was excellent and we were so surprised how quickly the landscape changes from desert/arid to tropical rain forests. We saw macadamia nut plantations, great views of the volcanoes and a crater, breathtaking waterfalls and even one of the only green sand beaches in the world. There wasn’t a question Matt couldn’t answer and he did a great job turning the chopper at the major sites so both sides could see and take pictures. This helicopter had the doors on but there was a panel that slid open and we were able to get great pictures through that as well as the windows. My wife gets a little motion sick at times and she wore a patch and was just fine. The ride was smooth, we had a great pilot and we had an amazing time – we highly recommend them!

Our pilot, Ryan, was amazing. This tour for our family was the highlight of our vacation. There is no other way to see Hawaii! Taking us back in the valleys near the waterfalls was an experience we will never forget. Just incredible. The volcano from every angle was spectacular, too. Mikayla was outstanding from the second we entered the airport. You get what you pay for and this was worth every dollar. Feeling grateful we were able to reserve this trip and see it actually happen. So glad we did this the first day, too. Thank you Paradise; you are an outstanding company!

Michaela, Regan and Richard were all very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating answering questions and helping to make minor modifications to our flight. Captain Ryan, the pilot , was also very friendly, engaging and confident with approximately a decade of flight experience. After our safety briefing and preflight orientation we lifted off to Ryans personal soundtrack playing Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries", theme song of the movie "Apocalypse Now". The great musical selections continued as we circumnavigated the Big Island of Hawaii with Captain Ryan gingerly caressing the aircraft for optimal views of the coastline, volcanoes, valleys and waterfalls. This is the ultimate scenic island tour and should not be missed. Thank you all for a truly royal Hawaiian experience. Mike & Valerie

This was an awesome tour. Our pilot was Matt, and he was great! The only thing I would change would be to give travelers the opportunity to bring lunch or snack. If we had known the location was going to have a little pic nic table, we would have brought snacks.
